Love more on Cajuns. My grandmother was a Cajun from Lafayette Louisiana her name was Marie Elyse Broussard. She raised her children in the southeast of Texas which is the Cajun-y part of Texas. I would go with her to check the crab cages in the bay. We always had gumbo at every family function. We grandchildren were in charge of shelling and beheading of the shrimp. My hands smelled like shrimp for days afterwards 😂

I have a word for the day, which I don’t hear as much lately. The word is: doodle or doodling. I suppose that there are people who still doodle. Additionally, and on top of that, I would like for you to keep an eye out for any good thing about Vespasian. He is one of my top 10 favorite Roman Emperors. Or is it Vespatian. Anyways, you know who I’m talking about. I think that he was a much superior emperor to Nero or Caligula.

I saw Gatemouth.a few decades back at a local blues club. It was far and away THE most jaw droppingly amazing live show I've seen. I got some of his records after that, but they just didn't do him justice.

I want you to do a word of the day on the word, hip. As in the sentence, I done got hip to your jive. I think the word may have other uses as well.

I have a "generic" CD of the first Miami Vice soundtracks CD, turns out there were 3 soundtrack CD releases. I thought I had a copy of one and two, hadn't known about the third, but I can't find them. I'd like to have all three, but the originals can get expensive! I'll have to check Vintage Stock when I have time and money, they do a brisk business in secondhand books, movies, CDs, shows, games and related. We have two in town.

4:32 - We enjoyed much of Miami Vice. Not fans of the movies. I think MV was, like the classic Equalizer, a product of its time, many pieces come together at the right time to produce a classic.

Morning! If you have time, would you please do some word-of-the-day detective work? First, I nominate "render" for word of the day. Second, I looked up the meaning of render to prove a point to someone, and found that the meaning to tear your clothes (like ashes and sackcloth rendering clothes, tearing them apart in a big emotion, not just snagging something and tearing a piece of cloth off), doesn't exist! Rendering as in melting down is a thing. "He rendered his clothes when she said she wanted a divorce," isn't???? I just remembered the word "rent," for tearing clothes like that, and of course there's "tore," but I could swear I've heard render used for a synonym of those words too. Have you come across "render" being used like that, or have I been dreaming? 🤔🤔. It's ok if I've dreamt it. It's going to nag at me until I know, though! 🤓😁 Have a great weekend! Theresa
